Strainer
A strainer is a device used to remove solid particles or debris from a fluid stream, such as water or gas. It is commonly used in piping systems to protect downstream equipment, such as pumps, valves, and meters, from damage caused by particulate matter.
Strainers are designed with a perforated or mesh screen that allows fluid to pass through while trapping larger particles. The screen can be made of materials such as stainless steel, brass, or plastic, depending on the application and the size of particles to be filtered.
