Check Valve
A check valve, also known as a non-return valve or one-way valve, is a type of valve that allows fluid or gas to flow in one direction and prevents backflow in the opposite direction. It is designed to automatically close and prevent reverse flow when the pressure on the upstream side of the valve decreases or when the pressure on the downstream side increases.
The primary function of a check valve is to ensure the flow of fluid or gas in a single direction, preventing any reversal of flow that could cause damage or disruption in a system. Check valves are commonly used in a wide range of applications, including plumbing systems, water distribution networks, pumping systems, HVAC systems, and industrial processes.
